This trek is to the beautiful Phobjikha valley which lies in the mountains east of Wangdi Phodrang. After crossing over the pass you soon come to the great monastery of Gangtey. The village of Phobjikha lies a few kilometets down from the monastery. This quiet remote valley is the winter home of the black necked cranes, which migrate annually from Tibetan Platue.

Day 1: Arrival in Paro(1.2 hours)
On arrival at Paro airport, ourrepresentative will transfer you to Thimphu. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu. Altitute:2400m
Day 02: Paro
After breakfast visit Paro Dzong(fortress) built is 1646. It houses the district monastic body and most of thegovernment administrative offices,and also visit National Museum ,DrukgyelDzong and Kichu Lhakhang. In the eveningdrive towards Thimphu, this takes 2 hours’ drive to reach Thimphu. Overnight,stay at a hotel in Thimphu.
Day 3: Thimphu-Gangtey
After breakfast, visit nationalmemorial chorten, Tashichoddzong, national library and institute of ZorigChusum(painting school) in Thimphu. After lunch, drive for about 5 hours toGangtey. Enroute, cross Dochula pass (3088m) and drive by Wangdiphodrang Dzong. Overnight at camp/farmhouse,Gangtey.
Day 04: Gangtey -Gogona (16km, 6-7 hours) (trek Start)
The trek begins with upwards walkthrough meadows and fields, ascending to Tsele La pass (3,400m) where we stop forlunch and after lunch we will gradually walk through dense forests. After ashort climb, we will reach Gogona village. The people of Gogona were originallynomads and they speak a language called Bjopkha (language of nomads). Overnight,stay at camp in gogona village.
Day 05: Gogona-Khotokha(17km, 6-7 hours)
The second day trek start aboveGogona village, climbing into a forest of firs, oak, spruce, rhododendron,cypress and junipers, the climb leads us up to Shobju-la pass (3,400m). Thendown to the wide valley of Khotokha, where the people of Sha (Wangduephodrangdistrict) come in summer to graze their animals. Overnight camp will be atkhotokha
Day 06: Khotokha-Wangduephodrang. (12km, 5 hours)
A trek takes us to a pass, fromwhich the path descends steeply through ever- changing vegetation till we reachthe Bridge at Wangduephodrang (Chazam). The trek ends here. Overnigh stay athotel in Wangduephodrang.
Day 07: WangduePhodrang –Thimphu
After breakfast drive towards Punakhaand visit the Punakha Dzong, built in 1637, consider as second oldest dzong inthe country. It is built in between two rivers, Female River and Male River.Visit Chimi lhakhang built in 1649 by the Lama Ngawang Chogyal. After reachingThimphu visit few best tourist sights. In the Evening freely stroll around themarkets for your last minute shopping.
Day 08: Departure
After early breakfast drive to Paroairport for flight to onward destination.
